Adapt a Classroom and Handwashing Facility Project

PMPC Adopt a School and Handwashing Facility Project

Two noteworthy projects were provided by PMPC for its continuous advocacy of providing quality education and conducive learning environment for Filipino children and students, in partnership with the Department of Education – Division of Panabo City.

The first project was the Annual Adopt-A-Clasroom Program at Balay Paglaum, Lower Panaga, Panabo City where PMPC provided materials such as television unit, chairs, tables and electric fans. Students were also provided with school supplies as part of the “Balik Eskwela, Gamit sa Eskwela Program”.

Balay Paglaum was constructed to accord the IP students who are enrolled at Roxas Elementary School and Sindaton National High School Extension with a learning facility and dormitory where they could stay during weekdays and avoid walking long distance just to go home every day, in which, most of the time, have caused them to be worn-out and stop attending classes.

The second project was the Adopt-a-WASH Facility through the construction of Handwashing Facility at Gredu Elementary School, which aims to provide quality education through the provision of a safe and friendly learning environment. WASH stands for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Schools, a program of Department of Education.

Both facilities were turned-over by PMPC to the respective recipients with DEPED- Division of Panabo personnel headed by the Schools Division Superintendent, Ms. Dee D. Silva, DPA, CESO V.
